Cottage Living Cheats

First, you will need to enable cheats and this is done by opening the cheat console (CTRL + SHIFT + C) and then entering testingcheats true.

Befriend All Farm Animals

Open up the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C , Enable cheats by entering testingcheats true

Shift + click on the animal you want to be friends with and choose Cheat Relationship > Set Max Friendship

Spawn Bunnies/Rabbits

Open up the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C , Enable cheats by entering testingcheats true

Now Shift + click on the ground where you want the bunny tot pop-up and choose Create Animal > Create Rabbit.

Spawn Different Colored Bunnies

Shift + click on the Wild Rabbit Home and choose Create Rabbit in Home (Debug)

Kill a Sim with a Killer Rabbit

For this cheat, with cheats enabled you want to hit SHIFT and right-click on the Sim you want to, well, kill. Select the option ‘Kill‘ then ‘Be Slain By A Vicious Killer Rabbit‘.

Once your Sim has perished, you can have them also become a ghost but I doubt they’ll want to be reminded how they died.

Unlock all Recipes and get all Animal Treats

With cheats enabled you to want to hit SHIFT and right-click the fridge in your Sims home and select ‘Animal Treat Cheats‘.

This will allow you to unlock all recipes, get all the treats right there and then or make the ingredients to make the treats.

Create (special) Chickens, Chicks, Roosters and Eggs

Open up the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C , Enable cheats by entering testingcheats true

Spawn Chickens without placing a Chicken Coop

If you want to risk your chickens’ lives and place them without a safe shelter, you can! Choose between a rooster, chicken or even a cute baby chick. 

• Shift + click on the ground where you want the chicken tot pop-up and choose Create Animal > Create Chicken/Rooster/Chick.

Now you can own as many chickens as you want without placing any chicken coops. 

Get Evil and Golden Chickens

If you want instant evil and golden chickens, you do need a chicken coop to create them. 

• Shift + click on the chicken coop and choose Create Hen in Coop (Debug).

There’s a moderate chance that this will generate an evil or a golden chicken. 

Place any Eggs in the Chicken Coop

Do you want a golden chick to hatch from a golden egg? You can create any egg by placing a chicken coop and follow the steps below.

Now shift + click on the chicken coop and choose Create Egg.

Get All Animal Clothing in your Inventory

Open up the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C , Enable cheats by entering testingcheats true

Now click on any of these animals and choose Get all Animal Clothes (Debug)

Cross-Stitch Cheat

Cottage Living also comes with one new skill, Cross-Stitching and you can max it out using cheats. It’s another code cheat, so you will need to have the cheat console open and type in the following;

• stats.set_skill_level Skill_CrossStitch 5 – This maxes out the Cross Stitch skill

Cottage Living Trait Cheats

To unlock the Cottage Living trait cheats you’ll need to enter some codes into the cheat console. Open this using the method above and use the following cheats;

• traits.equip_trait trait_Nature_Country – Nature Conversationalist trait
• traits.equip_trait trait_AnimalEnthusiast – Animal Enthusiast trait
• traits.equip_trait trait_LactoseIntolerant – Lactose Intolerant trait (yes, you’re evil if you do this to your Sim)

Unlock all Recipes and get all Animal Treats

Want a rainbow cow? Or maybe an orange llama? you can unlock all recipes or get all treats from the fridge. 

Open up the cheat console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C , Enable cheats by entering testingcheats true

Now shift + click on the fridge and choose Animal Treat Cheats.

You can choose to unlock recipes, get all the treats in your inventory or even create all ingredients that your Sim will need to make the treats.
