ZIP FILE – INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
I found this mod while randomly looking for new gameplay stuff, didn’t expect much at first. but it turned out to be way bigger than I thought. it adds a lot of systems that actually affect how your sims behave over time.
it’s not just visual changes or small tweaks. things build up slowly, moods change, and your sim doesn’t always act the same way depending on what’s going on.
what I liked is that it doesn’t feel instant. there’s a kind of progression to it, like you notice changes after playing for a while instead of everything happening at once.
also worth saying — it’s not really trying to make anything look “cool”. if anything, it shows the downsides more than anything else. so it ends up feeling more like a gameplay layer than just a random add-on.
Basemental Drugs
- Click the button to download the zip file
- If you are updating, delete the old files from your Mods folder first
- Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file
- Place the extracted folder directly in your Mods folder
- Folder location: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
- Enable Script Mods and CC in your TS4 game settings
- Basemental Drugs
Note: Script Mods should not be more than 1 subfolder deep from your root (Mods) folder.
This works: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/Basemental Drugs
This doesn’t: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/Some Folder/Basemental Drugs
