How it works:
Basically, in any given positive social interaction with another sim, there is a random chance of getting the crush sentiment. This chance is affected by:
- Attraction: this is the main feature of the mod. Strong or moderate attraction give proportional boosts to the chance of getting a crush, while negative attraction reduces the chance.
- Social compatibility: Amazing social compatibility slightly increases the chance of getting a crush, but this is lower than the effects of attraction. No other social compatibility level has an effect.
- Your sims’ traits: sims with the Lovebug or Romantic traits are more likely to get crushes, to varying degrees. Sims with the Unflirty trait are less likely to get crushes. Sims with the Romantically Reserved trait are also less likely to get crushes, unless they’re already at least friends with the other sim.
- The other sims’ traits: if the other sim has the Alluring or Beguiling traits, your sim is more likely to get a crush on them. Same for the Romantic trait, unless your sim is unflirty. Self-Assured, Outgoing or Gregarious sims are also more likely to be crushed on, but the effect is small.
- Social context: if the conversation is already suggestive or more, there’s a higher chance of getting a crush.
In addition to this, I’ve also made it more likely for unplayed sims to get crushes. In the vanilla game, only the sim who initiates an interaction can get a crush, but 1. I don’t think that’s very realistic, I think it’s pretty common to develop a crush on someone who keeps chatting or flirting with you (if you’re attracted to them), and 2. at least in my game, sims mostly just go about their business without striking up too much conversation so I have to actively push for the relationships I want to develop, which meant my sims often get one-sided crushes. I do like unreciprocated crushes, and that’s still possible with this mod if the attraction is not mutual, I just think the chances should be even regardless of who initiates the interaction, so this mod does that.
Attractiveness is the pure attraction to Sim outside appearance. Every detail matters, from the clothing type and style, the colors, accessories, hair, eyes, including body shape, and even voice.
Everybody is attractive and unattractive in their own way, seen through the eyes of others. But appearance can be altered to fit the needs of your chosen one.

- The ‘Sims Attractiveness Switch‘ setting allows the user to globally disable attractiveness in the entire world.
